Patch Notes 0.9.19

Today we will give you a detailed overview of all the new features and fixes we added in the latest patch 0.9.19.


Heroes - A new era of strategy begins

Patch 0.9.19, marks the arrival of a game-chaning mechanic: Unique, independant units with distinct stats and abilities, adding a fresh layer of strategy to the battlefield. We launch the four familiar but evolved character classes - Knight, Archer, Mage and Cleric. Those are just the beginning and more will follow soon. Let’s dive into this exciting evolution and the huge possibilities it beholds!

⚠️ All values mentioned in this article are subject to change based on ongoing balance adjustments and game updates.

🪧 General

General improvements and adjustments have been made across the game client to enhance overall functionality and player experience. A new fundamental core pillar will take its place - Heroes.


  • Missed Attacks - Introducing Weak Hits


    • Accuracy determines whether an attack lands successfully or results in a miss. Previously, missed attacks dealt 0 damage, often leading to frustrating and unpredictable outcomes in close battles.
    • "Misses" are now replaced by "Weak Hits", dealing 33% of normal damage while still being influenced by the attacking unit's accuracy.
  • Item and Character Rebalancing

    • To ensure a well-balanced gameplay experience, we have adjusted the base stats of units, resulting in changes to various items across all rarities, types, and levels.
    • Rather than focusing on isolated tweaks, we take a holistic approach to balancing, ensuring that all adjustments work together seamlessly. For this reason, we will not provide a detailed breakdown of individual item levels.
    • Key Changes are:

      • Self-healing has been nearly doubled in value.
      • Cleric healing efficiency has been improved — now scaling with both the Cleric’s attack power and the defense of the healed unit. This ensures Clerics remain equally effective across different unit classes.

🎮 Game Client

One of the biggest changes is the introduction of the Heroes screen, shifting focus from the Armory to a more intuitive way of managing and showcasing your units. This update ensures smoother navigation and a clearer overview of your most important assets in battle.

    • The transition from generalized units to unique units marks a significant step forward in strategic depth. The familiar four—Knight, Archer, Mage, and Cleric—will now be known as Mercenaries, representing the first iteration of Heroes.
    • Mercenaries and Heroes can now gain EXP through both active participation and passive involvement in battles. As they accumulate EXP, they level up from 1 to 30, unlocking enhanced stats with each level. Additionally, milestone levels at 5, 15, and 25 will grant unique skills, further distinguishing each Hero’s role on the battlefield.
    • To accelerate character progression, we are introducing Runestones, a premium currency that grants EXP directly to Heroes. Runestones can be acquired through shop purchases, events, the season pass, and other upcoming features.
    • Recycling a character will reset its EXP to zero, but in return, players will receive Runestones as compensation — allowing them to reinvest into other Heroes. However, only a fraction of the original EXP will be refunded, encouraging careful decision-making when managing your roster.

  • Status Effects


    Name Description
    StunStun
    While stunned a unit cannot Move, Attack or execute Skills.
    DefianceDefiance
    While in defiance a unit annot move, Attack or execute Skills but incoming damage will be reduced by 50% while being immune against Sleep and Stun status effects.
    BurnBurn
    While burning a unit receives 15% of its max. Hitpoints as damage every turn.
    FreezeFreeze
    While frozen a unit cannot Move but can still Attack or execute Skills that don't move it. It also has a 40% chance to unfreeze while being attacked.
    CurseCurse
    While cursed a unit will receive 50% of the damage it deals during an attack. When a cursed unit is killed the curse will jump to the kiling unit for the remaining duration.
  • Main Menu

    • We have reworked the layout and visual elements of key functions in the main menu to improve navigation and clarity. These changes ensure that the most important interactions are easier to access, helping players find what they need at a glance.
  • Ranked Mode

    • Before entering a ranked match, players can now view their army setup and quickly double-check their Armory while queuing.
    • Take advantage of the x10 XP multiplier on your first six wins each day to accelerate your Heroes' progression and unlock their full potential faster!
  • HUD

    • To accommodate the new unit abilities, we rearranged visuals and optimized the layout, creating a more clean and efficient design.

🛠️ Technical Adjustments

Besides the new features we also made some technical updates.


  • Edge cases that led to incorrect formations in Noble’s Road have been addressed

  • Edge cases causing the jail timer to tick incorrectly have been resolved
