Community listen up! Are there any artists around? Now it's your time to shine!
As you probably have noticed our announcement for the first snapshot on the Waitinglist, where the Top 100 players will be determined that are allowed to play Knights of Cathena in the first phase of the closed alpha, we wanted to give some of you the chance of increasing their ranking.
Therefore we will introduce a new role on our Discord server, the Painter. This role can be earned in the next community event; the art contest. The idea is that all artists in the community can sharpen their tools and create fan-art for the game.
Once painted, you can submit your art piece in our Discord server where we will evaluate your creations carefully and if deemed worthy you will receive the before mentioned Painter role which will ultimately boost your 💠XP on the Waitinglist by 3,000 points.

Right now, so get your tools ready, sharpen your pencils and create something unique that fits into the world of Altea.
What Are The Rewards?
Everyone who will submit worthy art will earn the Painter role on our Discord which will ultimately be rewarded with 3,000 💠XP points on the Waitinglist.
Where Can I Submit my Art And How Does The Review Process Look Like?
Once you have created your unique pieces of art, the most important step has been taken. The only thing left to do is submit it. To do this, you simply have to hop on our Discord server and post it in the #🎨-artworks channel.
In there, we will pick the most amazing pieces by voting internally and reward it's creators with the Painter role.
Are There Any Specifications or Guidelines?
Basically there are no limitations of what you can submit. Everything that fits into the game's lore or does represent it in some way or another will be rewarded by us.
Of course there are some guidelines from our side of art pieces we would like to see. To give you an idea of what we might think could be a great fit, see the following list:
- Artwork of how Altea could look like
- Artwork for Uth'arak
- Artwork for the Deadlands
- Artwork for Cathena and Adon based on the lore you can find in our previous blog posts
- Artwork for Elves and Dwarves how you imagine them to look
- Telegram/Discord sticker for the game (maybe Cathena and/or Adon in chibi style)
Is There a Deadline For Submission?
Right now there is no deadline set. The only thing to keep in mind is the first snapshot of the Waitinglist which will take place on 1st of June. Maybe the extra 💠XP is exactly the boost some of you need to earn their spot in the Top 100.
We can't wait to see all the artworks that might come to life by you, our community. But enough talking, let's get the contest started!
