The year of adoption 2024 is hitting hard and we are announcing the newest groundbreaking changes:
👉 Introducing new Ancient Power (AP) values of items and units.
👉 Adapting the minimum and maximum requirements over all ranks. Both, creating a more balanced matchup and using higher rarity gear, are key facts we focus on.
👉 Removing the item level restrictions in ranks. Leveling up items will increase the Ancient Power (AP).
👉 Buffing certain items to match the item set overall. Some items haven't received any alternatives when the attribute "evasion" got removed.
Current State
"Indicates the total power of an item/unit." — But does it really? "My opponent's unit has the same AP as mine, but he is crushing me significantly." "What is the item level cap in rank Lord 2?" "It is too complex to compare my rare item to an epic one."
Ancient Power (AP) has been a key mechanic across various parts of the game, from balancing competitiveness on the battlefield to evaluating gear in the Armory and the Marketplace. It’s designed to provide a quick reference for power, but as the game evolves, so do its needs. AP will remain its central role and will be shifted even more towards a true Gear Score metric, ensuring a accurate and reliable measure of strength.
Competitive Onboarding
Onboarding new players into an established environment where items have been accumulated and optimized over the course of a year is no simple task. To bridge the gap between newcomers and veterans, simply adjusting rank ranges is not enough. New players require a fair and balanced entry point, while long-time players deserve to continue competing for glory and rewards with the equipment they’ve rightfully earned. To achieve this balance, we need a more comprehensive approach that accommodates both groups effectively.
Simply Better
Changing AP to a calculated value rather than an estimate based on various factors is our first step in removing outdated, unclear mechanics and balancing issues. Scaling an item’s power and competitiveness can be challenging. By simplifying the current system, we are prepared to introduce new item sets and enhancements without adding complexity.

Balancing and introducting new key metrics are a steady changing system. We always look into multiple segments, when making fundamental changes to keep the community and economy healthy. We expect multiple and frequent updates until we meet our visionary goals.
